St. Leo the Great Parish, Lincroft, New Jersey

Our Annual Parish Carnival starts on the second Monday in June. In 2008 it will be held June 9– 14. The Carnival is the largest parish fundraiser of the year. Not only is it a “fundraiser”, it is a “fun-raiser” as well! The parish, school and surrounding community come out in droves to support this event and have a great time, too. The food is of the highest quality and ranges from hamburgers to our famous zeppoles. There are rides, games of chance and a Super 50/50 that benefit the parish.

Many volunteers are vital to the success of the Carnival. It is a great way to meet other parishioners and have fun at the same time. In addition to working the Carnival itself, volunteers are also needed to join the Carnival Committee.

Sponsors from the surrounding community also help support this annual event.

The annual Christmas Bazaar, sponsored by the PTA, will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in the school cafeteria. There will be displays by local vendors, a Children’s Corner, Raffle Table, Bake Shoppe and Super 50/50.

Coffee, tea, juice, bagels and doughnuts are served in the school cafeteria after all Sunday Masses once a month, usually on the second Sunday, from October to May so that parishioners can meet, greet and enjoy one another. Each month one or two of the parish ministry groups act as hosts. back to top

A family picnic will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on September TBA, 2008, in the picnic grove (or in the cafeteria in the event of stormy weather).

Hot dogs, hamburgers and cold drinks will be provided. Each family is asked to bring a snack, salad or dessert for the “Sharing Table”.

There will be games for children. All parish members are invited to come to meet with long-time and new parishioners.

There are two golf outings each year. One is sponsored by the Holy Name Society and is being held on September (TBA), 2008. For information, please contact John Senkewicz - 732.842.4110.
