Catholic Inquiry

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults assists people desirous of coming into full communion with the Catholic Church.  The process is continuous so that anyone inquiring about membership in our faith is interviewed soon after initial inquiry is made.

The inquirer attends bi-weekly sessions until he/she is ready to begin the Catechumenate.  During this phase of the process sessions are held in conjunction with the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sundays.  Ordinarily, those preparing for full communion receive the appropriate Sacraments at the Easter Vigil.  During the process, a parish sponsor accompanies each candidate.

A team of parishioners made up of catechists, former and present sponsors and other interested parishioners meets every other month to plan, execute and evaluate the teaching sessions, rites and social activities which form the process.

Team meetings will be announced for 2007/2008.  We welcome all inquiries about membership in our faith community or on our RCIA Team.  Please call Sr. Joan at the Parish Center (732-747-5466).
